Radio -- Big 92.7 FM

It was 11 PM was listening FM radio and I was reading ____:), Then suddenly it came to my mind why not write something which i have learned and listened recently. which actuate me to write this....... well i am a neophyte to this but let's give it a shot.. anyways who cares ;)
In this technocratic period, where we have so many media's available as Gopi mentioned them in his previous blog Radio has fallen into oblivion, I guess infinitesimal people bother to listen the radio, I also turned on my radio because i have very few song in my laptop. Sometime it is so ludicrous that in between engrossing work, i had a small smile on mine countenance and sometime it is so perturbed that i think that i have perpetrate a crime by turning on the radio. But as i am listening radio from sometimes back, from my experience it's good to listen radio after 10 PM becoz than radio is all about new, classic, slow music which is really acoustic, but before 10 PM radio is really a package of advertisements. Before listening radio i thought that it's 1-2 advertisement which come in between songs, but now 1 song come in between advertisements, thanks to switching knob and a large number of FM channels for salvage from this. But the unique style of enunciating their FM name is very amusing 'U r Listening BIG 93.5 back to back' some characters like in SANTA Jokes so amazing that i have to give them a chance in the interim of a new song or to switch on to another channel.
Thank god that i am in delhi, while i was in Gandhinagar, it's was very hard to comprehend anything except some word like 'Nathi', 'Aagad Pachad'. So it precluded 'SANTA' chance and it left me only 1 option to switching to another channel... But in anyways it's good to listen music from radio as i don't have to add new song each time after a song first which is a very laborious task ....................... Wanna to write more but it's 1 AM .. time to go to sleep .... also i am getting bore with this topic .. so next time ........

Looking Back
Since most of us left DA-IICT, this post is to look back at the past four years of our DA-IICT life and the talk about the awesome people in our group. We had a very diverse set of people in our group -
- Some who would go to the gym everyday for body building while others who would just dream of such a day.
- Some who would download English series and movies while others who would just watch Shaktimaan and Alif Laila.
- Some who would get the highest marks in the batch and others who would sketch awesome paintings.
- Some who would spend hundreds of rupees on phone calls each day and others who won’t do it even in a month.
- Some who would readily go to any marriage party in Ahmedabad for free food and others who had to be forced to come for birthday treats.
- Some who would never sleep and others who would never wake up.
But, one thing was common among us - we were happy among ourselves. We would not go to OAT and shout that our group is the best, we would not do dirty politics during the college elections and we would not go and fight random people. We were happy the way we were. :)
(In Alphabetical Order)
Amit “The Gamer” Gupta
He’s a big time gamer who has completed almost all the difficult games that you will find on DA-IICT LAN. Just bring a game to him and give him a couple of days – he’s gonna complete it for sure.
You would find him walking in the corridors of G wing at night, lost in deep thought – donno what he ponders, but I’m told that somehow he scares the hell out of the juniors. And, please DO NOT wake him up when he’s fast asleep – you are going to regret it.
Ankur "Pop" Singhal:
Pop is the heartthrob of our group and also the target in most of our pranks. He recently rocked the GATE exam and is all set to join a leading institute in India for Masters.
On a more serious note, he is a big fan of Shaktimaan, Alif Laila and crappy B-grade Hindi movies. He is also pretty popular among Gandhinagar autowallahs and DA-IICT canteen workers who call him “JADA BHAI”. Finally, an interesting note about his PC – The performance of his PC remains the same if you put RAM of 512 MB, 1 GB or even 1.5 GB. Yes, you guessed it right - it was bought from Kota :P
Apurva "Pandit/Chacha/Multipoint" Joshi
He is one of the bonds of our group – makes us feel that getting into Microsoft is within our reach! Not to mention that he is a big Gappi and believe me, he is almost close to a Phd in this field.
He is also the ‘Ladies Man’ of our group. He claims to have ‘done it all’ :P, but of course, no one believes him. In his free time, he does moral policing over the group – stopping people from smoking and drinking. But recently, he himself got ‘Talli’ – so ab no more problems :P
Currently, he is rejoicing his reunion with his college room-mate (aka Chomu) and compensating for the past four ‘silent’ years. :)
PS: isko bachpan se photography aur swimming karne ka BAHUUTTTTTTTTTTTTT shauk hai. :)
Divyank "Support Team/Downloader" Gupta

Ahh, the name says it all. He helps us when our computers start misbehaving, when we’ve to set up woofers during birthday dances etc. He recently started downloading Series and getting lots of blessings from DAIICT junta (Hail Phoenix m/_/).
He also happened to be the “joint-owner” of our Bakar room – where we all would go and rant about professors and batch-mates. He is the Aladdin with many Genies (or MRs) – kuch bhi chahiye to MR ko bolne ka :fear:
Navkar “Sharmila” Samdaria
He was our savior during exams - we would spend the whole night in his room trying to understand stuff taught during the entire semester and he didn’t disappoint anyone. A lot of people owe him for the good grades that they got!! He’s also the Mr. Cool with a record of never getting angry during the four years of college – quite an achievement, to be honest! :)
It was a tough job to take him to the parties – required some kicks from Pop or some slangs from others! Speculating about his girlfriends was one of the prominent topics in our Bakar sessions, but all our guesses were proven wrong when we found that he had a crush on a first year girl. :O
Nitin “Mundae Sarkar” Gopi
Gopi is a mobile encyclopedia of girls & his database has the complete bio-data of each girl he has ever met or seen! He’s also the muscle man of the group, who likes to go to the gym daily and surprisingly, never feels tired after gym.
He has the strange habit that whenever he wants to enter someone’s room, he just stands outside the room for a few minutes, senses if everything is fine inside and then enters the room. Probably, this ‘watchfulness’ is what impressed the people at Omega Maritime and he got a job to guard the waters of India from pirates. :P
Praveen “Phonebooth” Shekhar
Airtel, Reliance and Idea owe a lot to this guy – people like him are responsible for the ‘Cellphone boom’ in India. The revenue generation he does for these cellphone companies PER DAY is more than what the rest of us could collectively do in a month! :P
He hardly gets any time for other activities, but whatever little time he gets, is invested in drawing some awesome sketches, paintings and designs. Even then, he’s by far the best designer we have in DA-IICT. If you don’t believe me, check this out - http://www.daiict.ac.in/daiict/index5.html
And yeah, our football team is also blessed by his presence sometimes. :)
Sachin “Coolz???” Gupta
He calls himself ‘Coolz’ for some reasons which none of us have been able to find out yet! Although all of us are big nautankis, but he’s the one from our group who has tried doing Nautanki on stage (remember the geeky Inspector and Raja Janak?).
This guy has all the qualities of becoming a Chartered Accountant – you can judge it by the way he keeps his accounts – every single buck spent is recorded properly and you can’t fool him when it comes to money matters :)
Saumya “Hilta-dulta/Confused” Mittal
He’s the source of entertainment of all of us – has the ability to come up with random jokes, masala stories and killer comments any time. He was also a “dedicated” Cultural Committee member – who worked extremely hard to get the leftover sweets for all of us :)
He spends his free time looking at his biceps (and hairy body) in the mirror and also practicing how to walk straight! He’s currently busy finalizing his career path out of the 10-15 options that he has – MBA/MTech/MS/Phd/Mastek/Saba/Startup etc. – which proves that he is indeed ‘Confused’.
For those who think that CPI has a correlation with a person’s behavior – Look at Saumya Bhai, he proves you all wrong!! :P
And, I’m Akhil ":P" Mathur.

Known to the world as a silent, studious guy – very few people know how studious I’m in reality. :) If I’ve to describe my four years of college in five words – they will be 1) Google.com 2) FIFA 2005 3) DC++ 4) Sarcastic Bakar with friends 5) Sleep. Yeah, I owe a lot to Google.com and I genuinely feel that there should be a course in Btech curriculum to teach how to do better Google searches. :P
I have some weird hobbies like watching WWE (which doesn’t go well with my personality). I also have a strange habit of not sleeping before exams. Because once I’m asleep, I would not wake up even if it is the IBF end-sem exam and Prof. Binita Desai is trying to call me on my cellphone from the exam hall :P
That’s it for now! You guys are welcome to kill me for these intros, but please do it fast – I’m soon going on a paid vacation for two years. :D
